FAQs

Why choose beeswax wraps?

What is a beeswax wrap?

Beeswax wraps are a plastic-free, eco-friendly & reusable alternative to cling film/plastic wrap.

Why choose Clover & Bee Beeswax Wraps?

Not all beeswax wraps are made equal. We believe in making high quality wraps that work (and work well!)

That's why we only use the best ingredients, including 100% organic GOTS organic cotton.

Our signature stick combined with the durability of our wraps means you can put them to work again and again without worrying about messy fallout or a breakup of wax.

Can I reuse my beeswax wrap?

Yes! Wipe them off or wash in cool soapy water to reuse again and again.

Our products have been tested by an independent lab to confirm our wraps follow the regulations for food contact materials.

Are your wraps environmentally friendly?

Creating a sustainable and eco-friendly product was is the heart of our decision making.

We're not perfect, but here's here’s how our beeswax wraps are making strides to help the environment:

1. Our wraps are made from GOTS certified organic cotton fabric. This means the cotton plant was grown without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Organic cotton also uses, on average, 85% less water than regular cotton to produce, meaning it uses far less energy.

2. Our packaging is 100% recyclable and/or compostable - even the sticker!

3. At the end of their life, our wraps can be refreshed with our signature blend to get even more use out of them, composted, or used as an eco-friendly and pollution free fire starter.

4. When you use our reusable wraps, you’re stopping plastic from being dumped into landfills and/or our water systems.

5. Our fabric manufacturer pledges to plant 1m2 of trees for every order we place with them.

Using your beeswax wraps

What can I wrap in my beeswax wrap?

Pretty much anything! They can be used to wrap fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, snacks, cover containers, and more. Our wraps can even store fattier foods like cheese!

No! Our wraps have been tested by an independent lab and they passed the taste/smell test with flying colours.

When you first receive your wraps, they'll have a delicious honey-like smell that won't transfer to your food. Over a short time, the smell of your wrap will fade.

If handled a lot, the wraps can leave your hands feeling slightly tacky. This feeling goes away naturally, or you can wash your hands with some soapy water.

Do beeswax wraps go off/bad?
